I prefer background music when working at the computer – and the difference between Clannad or Duane Eddy can help to balance out one’s mood/outlook. Personally, I use Pandora.com to build my own ever-changing “mix” by type of music.

1) The Beatles; 2) The Stones; 3) The Who; 4)CCR; 5) The Commitments. -that might be a stretch-since they were only put together for a movie, but they were damn good

The Beatles, the Stones, The Who, U2 and a tie berween Led Zeppalin and Def Leppard.
To keep a warm relationship with my clients, I try to have a least one conversation with them about their family and/or interests, rather than a work-based conversation, through each job. It helps both them and me to re-focus on real life, and not so much on the urgency of the current project….

Replace Nirvana with Guns n’Roses and you are getting close. Aerosmith deserves some consideration.
My best and biggest clients, I consider friends. They are long term relationships. I enjoy working with them and knowing them and they have kept us going in this tough time. Together we are part make up our own community.

I loved Marks artical. I’ve always tried to do just that very
thing. Being a real accessable person with your clients opens up
true communication lines, and enables you to get to know what their really looking for from you and your company. There are alot of various degrees of difficulty in any business relationship, but don’t let the inability to effectivly
communicate be one of them. Being professional does’nt mean you can’t soften up your own sharp edges. We all are in this together, to achieve a degree of success, it’s easier when your goal is to help others to do just that.
