  1. Marilyn Trockel Says:

Opportunities are more available now than ever before.
Our guiding principals, treat our customers the way we
want to be treated”, we are working smarter and more
efficient due to on-line resources. We are attending
sales training, even if we have been selling for many
years. Our industry is getting more sophisticated and
requires AE’s that are knowledgeable and well-informed
    about our prospects businesses.
The economy has brought challenges, and as is always the
case, the impact we make is in how we handle the
    challenges.
“Whatever you do, do it with all your might. Work at it,
early and late, in season and out of season, not leaving a stone
unturned, and never deferring for a single hour
that which can be done just as well as now.”
    (P.T. Barnum)

I agree with Marilyn. There are excellent opportunities out there. I have a rookie salesperson working the phones and he’s receiving a terrific response. People are asking him to quote and are more open than ever before. Perhaps for a veteran salesperson this isn’t a great time because that means longstanding clients may be shopping new printers due to the economy. For a new salesperson, these tough times are golden to talk with people who a year ago might not have been open to a new supplier. The upside for established salespeople is now is a great opportunity to develop new business AND prove to current clients that they are still with the best print supplier.
